Reggae is by the Dutch stallion Olympic Vincent, out of a Farrington mare. These are good, modern dressage bloodlines. Reggae is producing very correct, elegant and big moving foals, one of which was awarded 'ster' by the KWPN and went through to the second round of stallion inspections in Holland. She was professionally backed and proved very trainable with sound attitude, good jumping technique and excellent movement under saddle. She was graded with the KWPN where she achieved 66 for conformation and 72 for movement and was awarded 'prok'. She is registered KWPN, Sports Horse Breeders GB, Scottish Sports Horse and British Warmblood Society.
Reggae's sire, Vincent, currently leads the 2006-07 KWPN dressage index with a massive 183. Her dam sire, Farrington, also has a good index of 129. Her great grand sire is Amor, who has a statue errected in his honour.
Before I bought Reggae in 2006, she had produced 3 colts - the first by Osmium (Olympic Ferro x Calypso); the second by Florencio - the 4 and 5 year old World Dressage Champion; and the third by Demonstrator, who was shortlisted for the Olympics.
In 2006 Reggae produced another exceptional bay colt by Demonstrator, 'Beinn Dubh'. His full brother was kept entire and we had high hopes for this one, but unfortuntely he had to be put down as a yearling due to an injury.
