Stables

Faside Stud was established in 2006 with the purchase of four top quality broodmares to use for breeding high quality sports horses. We combine the excellent bloodlines of our mares with some of the finest stallions in Europe to produce offspring that have the potential to go to the top in their discipline.

By breeding the best to the best, Faside Stud hope to produce horses who are sound, athletic and trainable. Temprement and conformation are the top priorities in our breeding programme. Every foal is well handled consistently from birth.

The stud has a purpose built yard within Fa'side Estate. Each stable is large enough to comfortably accommodate a mare and growing foal. The yard also has CCTV both inside the stables and externally for both security and monitoring the horses. Some of our stables have heat lamps and the yard has purpose built stocks.

News

Donnatella had a beautiful black filly on the 28th April, followed by Reggae having a lovely bay filly one day later! We also now have two mares in foal for 2011.

2010

The sires of this year's filly foals all stand at the world famous Paul Schockemoehle Stallion Station in Germany. We selected several exciting up and coming stallions who are the names to watch in the future as well as the dressage phenomenon Sandro Hit.

San Amour (2004) - main premium champion, dressage index leader and qualified for the Bundeschampionat. Sold at auction for EUR 450,000.

Sandro Hit - founded a new dressage horse breeding dynasty, produced ten Bundeschampions, consistently produces offspring selling for over EUR 100,000.

Don Primus (2005) - Gained outstanding scores for his paces in his 30 day test. Son of Grand Prix winner and Bundeschampion Don Primero. From the damline of Schwanau renowned for producing top-class horses. Sarkozy (2005) - Current Vice Bundeschampion and Hanoverian Champion. Sired reserve champion at the German Foal Championship.
